ALMOST 10 YEARS IN... A BIT ABOUT ME, SARA, YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

PASSIONATE ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY

I set up Rocking Horse Photography almost 10 years ago now, based on a long-standing, 30-year love and passion for photography and after becoming a parent myself. I initially learnt how to capture and develop images using film SLR cameras and the black and white darkroom. These days I use a Canon 5D Mark 4 & Mark 3 (backup) plus a range of Canon L-series portrait lenses; with my digital “darkrooms” of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom running on my trusty Mac. And now, in these days of AI, I am also learning about how AI can complement my photo editing and first birthday set-making skills.

I have created maternity, newborn, baby and family photographs for hundreds of families across London, in my East London photography studio; outdoors at iconic London locations and the stunning jewel of East London parks: Victoria Park; or at their homes. From time to time I even enter photography competitions for which I have received various awards. In 2020, I formalised my photography skills and took my Licensiate Qualification with the Master Photographers Association. I also continually attend training sessions with master photographers in their fields, to ensure that I am always learning new skills and honing my photography.

I am very proud to have been chosen by each of my families. I know there are plenty of photographers out there, and certainly I am not the cheapest, but I do know and am so often told that the quality of my photography, the finish of my products and level service I provide, is amongst the best. I pride myself on exceptional service and partnering with the finest professional-only print labs and framers of the country. I continuously invest in my equipment (and my training), to ensure I am always creating the most stunning photos I can, in a fun and relaxed environment.
